Jake completed a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws with honours in law in 2016 before undertaking the Tasmanian Legal Practice Course in 2017. Shortly after gaining his Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, Jake was admitted to the Supreme Court of Tasmania as an Australian lawyer.
Jake commenced full time work as a lawyer at Butler McIntyre & Butler in August 2017. He currently practises in criminal law and civil litigation, primarily focusing on criminal defence work in the Magistrates Court of Tasmania.
Jake is an active member of the Southern Young Lawyers Committee. He has a keen interest in international relations, and in his down time enjoys playing guitar, attending live music events, and getting out and about with his friends and family.
