Mark joined Butler McIntyre & Butler Lawyers in 2014. He graduated from the University of Tasmania in 1998 after completing a Bachelor of Science and Law. He then spent some time in Antarctica before completing the required legal practice course and starting with a large Hobart firm in 1999. He was a partner of this firm for 7 years.
Mark is an integral member of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution team. He specialises in banking and finance, security enforcement, corporate insolvency, estates and trusts and general litigation.
Mark regularly appears for clients in the Federal Court of Australia, the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, the Supreme Court of Tasmania and the Magistrates Court.
Mark is proficient in all aspects of business and his expertise enables him to provide succinct resolution based advice to clients.
Butler McIntyre & Butler appointed Mark as Special Counsel in August 2022, in recognition of his demonstrated legal expertise and mentorship shown to lawyers practicing at Butler McIntyre & Butler.
Mark is keen on running and sports in general, and loves to spend time with his family.
