Area of Practice:
Mahum commenced legal practice as a para legal at Butler McIntyre & Butler, whilst undertaking the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. Butler McIntyre & Butler, is very proud to welcome Mahum as a graduate lawyer, following her admission to the Supreme Court of Tasmania in August 2022
Mahum successfully completed her degree of Bachelor of Laws with Honours at the University of Tasmania. During her studies, Mahum maintained a strong academic record, whilst actively participating in extra-curricular activities, including national and international mooting competitions, volunteering for Community Engagement Tasmania and tutoring at the University for subjects including Contract law, Private law, Legal reasoning & Technological Change and International Law. In her final year of studies, she was the elected President of the Tasmania University Law Society.
Mahum is a part of the Property and Commercial Transactions team and assists both corporate and individual clients across a broad range of matters, including commercial and retail leases, business structures and sales, trust law and corporate advice. Mahum also provides assistance to Senior Associate Shelby Llewellyn in Estate Planning.
Mahum focuses on providing effective, timely and practical advice to deliver excellent outcomes for her clients.
In her free time Mahum enjoys reading, yoga and travelling.
