Jake completed a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws with honours in law in 2016 before undertaking the Tasmanian Legal Practice Course in 2017. Shortly after gaining his Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, Jake was admitted to the Supreme Court of Tasmania as an Australian lawyer.
Jake commenced full time work as a lawyer at Butler McIntyre & Butler in August 2017 after a period of clerking with the firm. He currently enjoys practising predominantly in civil litigation, and has strong interests in other areas of practice such as criminal law and planning and environment law.
Jake is a member of the Southern Young Lawyers Committee. He has a keen interest in international relations, and in his down time enjoys playing guitar, attending live music events, and getting out and about with his friends and family.
